The bill will be paid no problem but they won't be splashing big money this summer.
They have a fantastic squad so shouldn't need to worry too much. They certainly ought to be challengers without spending again but I'm not convinced Bruce is the right man at the helm.

I would love it if we could steal Jonathan Kodjia off them.

I've been following 'Villa Talk' recently as was interested in the fall out from the situation.

Whereas a decent number have a grasp of reality and are fearing for the worst, there is a significant number who reckon that they will be fine and, without even having to sell JG, will be there or thereabouts at the end of the upcoming season !

The CEO looks like a mixture of Fred Elliott from Coronation Street and Eric Pickles.

I wonder if Terry wanted to leave or fancied another year?

Be most amusing if he'd asked to stay and they basically told him where the door was.

I'd have loved to witness that conversation, no one has ever talked to JT like that before. :tantrum:

In a football context, no.

Outside of football, I daresay somebody like Wayne Bridge probably doesn't have him on the Christmas card list.

Could be the next season Sunderland???

I don't think they're quite at that point yet, are they? ???

Fine old club, Villa, but I confess it did leave something of a bitter taste seeing just how pleased many of them were with their late equaliser against us a year or so ago. They expected to smash the Championship, and it clearly annoyed them immensely that they got nowhere near that aim, let alone a club of our stature beating them to it by many, many points.
