received my first ever football shoeing in the Anfield car park.
my dads mate following some feet behind me was in the flying squad all be it off duty.
I almost felt sorry for them by the time he had finished working his magic

memorable days

It was also the only competition Liverpool didn't win that season.

My favourite football quiz question that - Which team prevented Liverpool from achieving 'the quadruple'?

Remember those lovable little rogues aged about 5 or 6 being egged on to throw stones and bricks at the coaches as they drove past .... Bless them !

Things I recall. Went up on the Seagulls Special train (although I think it was a one of having been retired due to costs). The train left from Hove(?) at about 6am and in the taxi to the station all I heard were calls for people going but had no ticket and needed one. On arrival we were bused to the ground through some of the worst derelict but lived in housing estates I'd ever seen.

Additional trivia:

It was Phil Neal's birthday which is why they made him captain on the day - and then he missed that penalty!

.... and I was there!

The programme was full of how proud the club was of their travelling supporters - so one of them broke my mate's nose on the way out of the ground - Hi Jerry!

Hi Les (I assume it is you)!

HTF are you?

How about a pint at the Amex after a match? PM me if you're up for it!

Lovely to hear you're not dead.
