In my opinion the most under rated band of all time has been

A-Ha

A back catelogue of superb songs. Some real masterpieces of pop. Their recent 3 albums since they reformed in the early 00's showed the maturity of their song writing. The earlier albums are poptastic genius.

Norway's greatest export.

Quite - and the fact that they've had world tours, grammy nominations, no.1 singles and had at one point the world record largest paying audience for a single gig, I think there is a pretty strong case to place them as the world's most overrated band...

Most underrated band ever, ever is Sly and The Family Stone. Fantastic music, hugely influential on the funk/soul/disco of the seventies and beyond.

I find this band intriguing. I must admit at best I think they're slightly above average.....but they ungender the most fanatical (but rather small) fanbase I've seen of any band. I think it's good the do this and I've got nothing against them...I just dont get the fanaticism.

Not convinced by The Piranhas. They are little more than a pub band that got lucky IMHO.
