I've been on TalkSport a few times, mainly H&J for finance stories and TalkSport Two with Chris Iwelumo. They treat guests pretty well, allow you to get a point across and actually debate the issues well.

Like many others Brazil is a non-starter for me, mainly due to his spectacular ignorance which he wears like a badge. Simon Jordan, as much as I hate to say it, speaks a lot of sense and is smart with it. Jim White can be brilliant at times (his haranguing at the hedge fund vultures who own Coventry City was superb) and a dullard at others. Durham knows what he is doing, unlike Gough, and as a Poundshop Howard Stern is actually quite good. Rushden and Glendenning are excellent and Danny Kelly is a hero of mine from the NME, Q Magazine and Danny Baker days on Five Live.

The main reasons I will switch over is the predominance of adverts.

Yeah, I've been in the studio twice this season with Andy Goldstein. The first time was with Terry Gibson (who thought Andone would be MADE for the PL) and secondly with Darren Lewis the journalist, who was excellent. Both times they made me feel very welcome and listened to the drivel I was spouting.

A quick note on the cricket coverage. There are NO adverts during play and the commentary team is very good. They share some of them with Sky, so you get Bumble, Hussein and Atherton. The ex-players are Gough and Prior who are good at their specialist subject. They've done well.

The one big success story on TalkSport is Jim White, it appears we can’t get enough of him as his listener figures go up and up.

I think he is awful, its like listening to someone present news a on radio.... for 4hrs. I used to quite like him on Sky Sport News but I just think he has become a walking, jumped up parody of himself. I didn't think I would like Colin Murray when he got the gig TBF but thought he done a really good job in the end.

Cricket coverage has been good. Harmison also always good value along with the above.

A lot better than BT Sport getting the TV coverage from Sky which was totally abysmal.

Still prefer TMS by miles but at least it's not shit.

Simon Jordan is a guilty pleasure of mine, speaks his mind and doesn’t care who he upsets, he particularly enjoys disagreeing with Jim White, which is a double bonus.

One show I try not to miss is Danny Kelly’s Trans Europe Express, on Sunday evenings.
Informed guests who go through every league in Europe.
Sadly, for some reason, the podcast is no longer available, which obviously did away with all the banal adverts.

It made Brighton fans happy . Every cloud ...

Very true and I can forgive him for that but he is last person on planet Earth that should be offering advice/opinion on the world of football. A complete and utter ****tard though he does have nice hair.

Bob Mills talks a lot of sense for me, and he is obviously quite funny as well.

Mills is brilliant entertainment because he just can’t hide his disdain for modern football and the nonsense and hype around the premier league.

Simon Jordan loves the word ‘machinations’. I’d hardly ever heard the word before but he uses it every time he’s on TV or radio.

Many businessmen have faced insolvency, then made a success of other businesses. Fortunately the law allows them to start again and adversity gives them a more rounded view of the world. As others have said on this thread including someone who’s worked with him on shows, Jordan’s quality on the radio.

He made mistakes at Palace and admits to that but their second administration was for a relatively low debt. I was initially suspicious of him but he talks sense and with experience of the unpleasantness of some who operate in the game.

Give him a chance.

I guess it's a shame he's not managing the Albion.

He could solve world peace, find a cure for cancer and end starvation .... but I’d still have this overwhelming urge to flush his head down the toilet!
