Yes, with a relatively large fan base, there will always be demand for hospitality on a causal basis, simply because of price for most folk. 2 years ago our party tried it as a one-off, and though it was expensive, the service, food and view from the reserved seats were all first rate. I would recommend it if you can afford it.

I suggest you read it all again -not for the first time you claim that others are not making any sense -probably because you didn't go to grammar school . . I said that champagne socialists are happy to go to corporate events, and qualified it by saying that they should of course go to such things, if they want to. OK? But the tendency for socialists is also to criticise other wealthy folk who choose to spend their money differently, and put it on a plate for you by giving examples. What more do you want?

And as for you assertion that I don't know about socialism -you could not be more wrong. Had you read my posts on other threads (and fair enough if you didn't) then you would know that my family and present-day friends lived through the horror of East German communism, and a little petal like you know would not want to know what extreme socialism is really like to live under. 6 year wait for a fridge -fancy that? Dragged to Stasi HQ because your TV aerial was facing west, showing you were watching west german TV? Give the local bakers a weeks notice, if you actually wanted bread rolls. You've proved my point quite perfectly. Equating socialism to communism. Meaning you don't know what you're talking about.

Thanks goodness for that. You obviously don't know that communism is pure socialism, and so it doesn't prove what you said in the slightest. I have prided myself on only ever insulting one person on NSC, and then immediately regretted it, and it wasn't you. you are confusing a riposte with an insult, possibly because you don't like anyone to disagree with you. But I don't think it is an insult to comment on your customary arrogance to assume somehow that you have won an argument -in your own mind, perhaps?

I think not only are they not meeting the demand for top end hospitality, they are also missing out entirely on the mid-priced market. I wonder if they will try to address this too? Perhaps move the shop to where the hotel was supposed to go, and put in a new bar/restaurant in the North? Tony Bloom alluded to having alternative plans for the hotel site a while back so maybe we'll see a planning application for something there before the season is out? All speculation on my part, but I could envisage something like that happening. As ever the challenge they face is coming up with facilities that will be used on non-matchdays too.

Yes, thanks for that. The club has evolved so much these last few years, so I too wonder what the future holds in this regard. If the club can generate more cash, and the punters are happy to pay, then great. Whilst I don't disagree with you at all, I just hope that the drive for corporate profit does not mean that the club loses sight of the average fan. That would be a shame.

I still disagree. There are similarities with some forms of socialism and communism but equally there are key differences. If you Google this topic there’s plenty to read about.
