Long way to go before he becomes a legend at this club. Actually trying in a few games and scoring twice is a start though.

He reminds me a little bit of Hemed, in that you want him in and around your other attacking players. He isn't going to do a mazey sprint around the defence and score, but his link up play & passing, bringing others in etc, is really intelligent. Tends to find the right pass, has a decent touch, and he's pretty strong too.

His position on the left wing as a striker is really interesting. He often finds the ball around the halfway line and is immediately looking to give it to the midfield so he can run in to a more central striking position rather than work it down the wing himself. When he does this he's often umarked as it's an unorthodox move, especially if Bernado is going down the left at the same time and keeping their right side busy. I can see him picking up or creating a few goals from that move over the rest of the season.

Bit harsh to suggest he hasn't been trying.

He might have been ineffective, poor etc. but I haven't ever seen him not trying to be fair.

Touch, strength, speed, eye for a pass, eye for goal all way beyond Tomer's

I'd agree with most of that but it's a bit harsh on strength - Tomer wasn't exactly a soft touch.

Hemed is much better in the air too, Locadia is never going to score with a 15-yard header

Certainly the last couple of games he has been great at chasing back when we lose the ball. Still a juggling act for Chris to give people like Locadia and Ali J (when fit) the game time they need toi get used to the P/L. Hard to get up to speed with just minutes here and there.

Tomer wasn't a soft touch but Jürgen looks impossible to knock over. Hemed also often disappointed with rather powder puff shots

I think Chris has had to compromise (for the better) on his formation which is helping the new players.

The players you mention as well as Izquierdo are attacking players from largely 4-3-3 systems. Whilst Jose adapted to the 4-4-1-1 fairly well, he has not pulled up trees this season. There is so much more to come from the likes of AJ and Locadia too. 4–1-4-1 is really working well with Andone’s resourcefulness and running allied to Pröpper’s attacking ability and obviously the talent of Big Jurg. I think this system is better suited to Kayal, March and Bissouma too.

This may we’ll be to the detriment of Murray and Groß. It could also mean that we are not signing a Groß (secondary striker) back up such as Powell this January.
