Fast cars, great scenery, beautiful women and two of the best male actors of the time. And a stunning theme song.

ITV4 shows a lot of 70's stuff every afternoon. Always some model on wearing very little. It was the 70's and was expected every episode.
As for TMFU, definitely up there as one of my faves. Does it ever get shown on one of those obscure Sky channels?

That one that used to be on Friday Night lived in a caravan (Palace supporter?) with the foundations of a house next to it that he was supposed to be building but it never changed

Apart from The Rockford Files, I never had any time for, or interest in, any of those. All, or at least most of, the British 'rubbish' mentioned on this thread - I loved it!

....... Apart from my mum who had a crush on some Irish bloke from Z cars.
That would be PC (later Sergeant) (Bert) Lynch. I can understand your Mum's leanings. Given the choice between DI Charlie Barlow (Stratford Johns) and PC Ellis I would have plumped for the latter every time.

I bloody loved that programme - top lads in the fight against THRUSH
....

I do rather think they were over complicating the problem when one simple amplication of this would have solved everything without the need for a whole TV series devoted to it. It would have also saved Harry Wilson's tackle a lot of childhood ennui.

They were more the 70s than the 60s.

High Chaparral
Virginian
Alias Smith and Jones
Bonanza

I loved all of those. Some very good looking cowboys in them.

I remember one daytime repeated episode centred around a fella selling pot to school girls.
It was hilarious, this guy was turning all the girls crazy to the point they were all having to be institutionalized while Ironside preached at them.

David McCallum's father David McCallum Sr. played in the orchestra on The Beatles 'A Day In The Life'. He passed away in Arundel in 1972.

Got me thinking back to some of the soaps in the mid-1960s, the obvious ones like Coronation Street and Crossroads, with Mrs.Richardson and Sandy and his wheelchair. Then there was one called the Newcomers which I’m sure had Wendy Richard and Jenny Agutter starring in it.

just googled Newcomers and you are right. I don't remember it, but not sure we had a TV then. First TV memory is Churchill's funeral
