Behind My Eyes
Get up early and do the housework, make my wife a nice cup of tea, then make her breakfast in bed. Do the ironing then pluck my eyebrows and apply a little foundation if needed so that I look my best before she gets up. Wash up, walk the dog and then check with my wife that it is definitely OK if I go to the football. Then, if she says yes, I'll get my testicles that I keep in a jar in the garage, pop them in and it's off to the to game to 'ave it with the Chelsea racists.

Yes. For whatever reason it’s never as simple on a Sunday just bringing the routine forward by an hour and a half.

From home for a 3pm Saturday I’d leave home about 11.30/45 which would deposit me on the concourse around 1.30/45 with a fair wind to enjoy a few pints and mull over the previous weeks magnificence/ineptitude.

Sunday tubes, engineering works and less evenly spaced trains mean taking a load of shit from the Mrs, aiming to leave at 9.45 and probably just scraping to my seat for 1.20.

It’s utter bobbins.

I don't mind Sunday games, that St Patricks Day Palace game springs to mind.

Just have to remember it is a Sunday and not Saturday, when in pub post match...

I’m amazed at the pre match lack of hygiene on this thread thus far .

Is this most bizarre of kick-off times messing with your usual routine?

On the plus side, it does allow plenty of time for post-match celebrations should the unlikely happen.

Totally screwed my pre-match. Cin Cin doesn’t open until 12:30 on Sundays. I guess I’m looking at brunch alternatives given the day and time. Anyone have any suggestions in the North Laine area?

Mange Tout might fit the bill. It opens at 10.00 for brunch.

The only problem I have with a 1.30 kick off on Sunday is the Sunday Roast as I have to take brother in law to Ferring or put him on the 700 but then he doesnt get a dinner Wife has overcome this we are going back to HH and she is cooking the roast beef for when we get home, then taking brother in law home to Ferring as no Strictly on TV Sundaay eveing. BHA have no thoughts or consideration for the needs and wishes of supporters:lolol:

Ruddy stupid kick off time
Earliest train I can get (unless I have four changes) is 8.20. So up on a Sunday at 6am.
Almost no time for the pub in town[emoji53]
But you know what - it will be worth it, 2-1 Andone brace
Marvellous scenes later

Cor wouldn't thaty be something? marvellous scenes indeed. The trouble is who would Chris drop for Florin to play, unless he comes off the bench of course..

Catch the first train out of Manchester on Sunday (8:05) and pray that it gets me to Brighton by the stated arrival time (13:03) despite the best efforts of Southern Fail. Then hope that the queues for the Falmer train are reasonable to allow me to get me to the Amex on time. All the time on crutches due to a recent knee operation.

Nothing can go wrong...can it?
