My first ever gig as a 14 year old, made me fall in love with live music from that day onwards.
Overriding memory of that gig was Pete stopping the gig as there was so much gob going on him he couldn’t handle it. Happy days.
Buzzcocks that day supported by Joy Division!

RIP Pete

What a shock. I saw them a couple of years ago at The Concorde and they were as good as ever.
Pete Shelley wrote some of the very best pop songs ever.

Just 63.

Saw them play The Albert Hall in Manchester last year and they were magnificent as always.

He was 63. Heart attack, it seems.

I saw them in 1977, last year and many times inbetween. Part of my youth has gone.

So, so sad.

In going to put on a few Buzzcocks records just to relive the magic from 40 years ago when they were one of the giants of the changing music scene at the time.

RIP

That’s very sad.
Buzzcocks was the first gig I ever went to. I was 14 and it was at the Top rank Brighton 1978 when the placed got trashed. Brilliant night.
Unlike with many other punk bands I’ve not got tired of listening to the buzzcocks.
