Deepest, darkest Sussex
There clearly seems to be a will on both sides to get him involved, so let's do it. Perfect tour to blood him on in the Windies early next year too.

I thought he had a fair while longer to wait.

Previously, he did. These new rules have been announced today.

Just read it. That'll be a loss for Sussex.

In the meantime the 100 ball competition, for people who can't concentrate for more than 5 minutes, has been given the green light.

Be interesting to see where, when and for who he plays next year.

Great news. If Jimmy retires and Jofra takes his place our already deep batting line-up will get even deeper.

May not make the Test squad for the West Indies, but should be a certain selection for the ODIs and T20s that follow in the West Indies

Whilst he is undoubtedly eligible, and I don't want to disparage his choices, I think it is a shame he doesn't want to represent the Windies. I think they need him more than we do.

But he wouldn't be playing for Sussex - unless he was our overseas player.

The same could be said for Jordan as well - both felt disillusioned by the WI cricket setup, and chose England. But you are right, the decline in WI cricket has been to the detriment of cricket in general.

I blame basketball.
