11 points is 11 points.
I'm enjoying the ride, second time around, whilst not worrying about relegation or are we going to be safe!
We're about as safe as Boris Johnson on a parliamentarian speed dating night

Carlisle won their first three games in the top flight, but were relegated by a country mile in the end.

I remember that well. Their 3rd game was the feature game on Match of the Day and Jimmy Hill was chuffed for them. Well we all were I think.

I presume the op was speculating that 3 teams might challenge derbys record low PL points total.
No we're not safe but we've reached the magical "can't be as bad as Derby once were" 11 points in a PB.

Well, I have carefully read this thread and I still don't know if we're safe.

I'm worried now. :shootself

We are in the fantastic position of being able to secure safety by the half way point of the season - just win the next ten on the trot, that'll be 41 points from 19 games; then the players can train surf and go on the lash for the second half of the season........

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
We did this at a similar time last year, and the answer is still no.

......with, IIRC, the last test cricketer to play in the top division of English football in their midfield.

No. Arnie Sidebottom played in the top division after Chris Balderstone. It's true that he wasn't a test cricketer then, but neither was Balderstone when he was in the 1st division.

Fairy nuff. But at least Balderstone played a whole test match!
