If we had never been called Albion which alternative would you rather we be called...Brighton and Hove United, Brighton and Hove Rovers etc....

I haven't included "Citeh" as that would have required a recent name change which would have raised objections amongst the majority of fans....

On second thoughts I have included City, but only on that proviso, but it would be the equivalent of us being called "Citeh" having recently being changed from " Albion" so consider that when making your selection.

Purely hyperthetical but would anyone be happy for the club to change its name to Brighton Red Bulls if Dietrich Mateschitz joined the board and injected £500m into the playing squad? Is challenging for the Premier League worth selling out for?

United and then now B&H has become a City we have a regular referendum about changing to City but with a near unanimous decision every time that United reflects our history and culture better. Bit likes the periodic votes in Gibraltar about whether they want to remain British... you get the sort of majorities you only normally see when dictators pretend to have an election.

having not lived in Brighton for many a year (before it was city status and beyond) I'm not sure if there is still the 'Them & Us' between Brighton & Hove but how about ... Brighton & Hove (A) United City ... that would confuse the hell out of pundits and commentators :O

Everybody will have their own opinion of course, but yes! What is the point of being in a competition when teams can’t compete on level terms and start the season with a chance of winning the damn thing!
