If my maths is correct, we have already been awarded our allocation of penalties for this season. In 2017/18 there were 80 penalties (ie, four per team on average), and we've already had four (v Man U, Fulham (x2), and Soton). I wonder what that indicates? More attacking play? More gullible refs?
Also worth noting that we were actually awarded 7 pens last season (ie, almost twice the average). Palace were the penalty kings (10) - I wonder why? Burnley got none!
