Brighton factually.....
Just back from the game, Albion deserved a point at least. The standard was good I thought far better than I expected, they seem like a squad learning how to play together to me, with two stand out players in Buet & Rafferty. It was nice to see lots of kids and girls at the match, will definitely take the daughter again.

I agree, definitely thought Brighton deserved at least a point. The squad has changed a lot since last season, with a lot of rotation being used particularly at the front. I thought Powell should have made the subs earlier, especially as a few players looked tired. Buet industrious as usual organising and driving Brighton forward, but I would've given Kayleigh Green player of the match. She was an always willing runner and more than once put her head and body on the line for the Albion - I can think of more than a few mens players who wouldn't have carried on after one or two of the collisions she had in the box getting to the ball! Another contender was the central defender Victoria Williams who dealt with most attacks that came her way with ease and composure.

Most of the coverage says Brighton were unlucky to lose and includes:

The result leaves Brighton second bottom of the table, with only Yeovil below who have played a game less. Whilst only one team will be relegated (maybe depending on what the FA rules are by then!), it would be nice to get our first points and goals in the Super League! Was always going to be a hard season though, with a lot of learning about the team, how they play together, and how to play against the top-class opposition in this league.

Next match is 30th September away to Chelsea. UTA!

I love the fact that after years of struggles the club as a whole are fielding teams that are strong in all categories of football including the women's game,U23's, U21's etc. Thank you Mr Bloom & associated staff for your vision & support.
