yeah I checked that out, like it, but oddly don't remember it at all!

New Order didn't get mainstream publicity really until Blue Monday in 1983. I'm not saying that they were obscure, but that they were adored by a large niche fanbase, the music press, but were barely played on Radio 1 in the daytime.

It was the explosion of house music and the rave scene that caught my attention in the latter part of the 80s, although I was too young to go to really get involved until the early 90s.

I’ve been enjoying a lot of Synthwave of late. Perturbator, Chromatics, Kavinsky , Gunship etc. Not 80’s bands themselves but a genre firmly rooted in the 80’s. Can’t get enough of it at the mo.

For me, it was all about All About Eve in the late 80s.

Saw them 4 times in 6 days on the Scarlet and Other Stories tour in '89.

I'll even confess to getting a kiss from Julianne Regan after the Hammersmith show.:love::love:

The week after the disaster miming 'Martha's Harbour' on TOTP (as was the norm then), they were given another chance.

They insisted on playing live.

They didn't disappoint.

And, right at the end at 3:02, you can see Julianne's joy as she turns round to Tim as if to say 'we did it!'.
