Some old man's names come back into fashion. Ian won't.

I have been a teacher for 26 years, and have never once taught an Ian.

Have you ever taught a Clive? I just can't imagine a child being called Clive.

I voted Chapman through his Albion connections.

Always had a soft spot for Iain Dowie. God had no right to hit him with the ugly stick that much - even if he is ex-Palarse.

Bad luck on my part, but in my whole life I've never met an Ian who I've liked...

I voted Hislop because of his razor sharp sarcasm and wit, but he's got a face which looks as smackable as a piñata full of fifty pound notes.

Ian’s in fiction are generally baddies too, you’ll never get a superhero called Ian.

Ian Abrahams appears to have upset a lot of Geordies by saying they only get 52,000 turn up every week because there's absolutely nothing else to do there.

Hurricane Ian looks like doing some serious flood damage on Florida's gulf coast, with a BIG storm surge. Tampa looks very vulnerable.

Cuba to take a hit first

To be fair I had a hard time with Ian's growing up. I was the younger brother of an Ian and his 2 best friends at school were Ian and Iain (the 3 amigos), used to beat the crap out of me

Ian is a very rare name now for anyone under 40. When I was born in the late 60s it was in the top ten of the most common birth names in the UK. I had two others in my class at senior school.

In 2017 no baby was given that name.

Strange how names fluctuate so much.

Proud to be limited edition. Not by much though.

For your second post in 11 years, I can only imagine how traumatising that was for you.
