Right, this has been a bone of contention on NSC for a while. One source (The Mirror?) stated that PL clubs couldn't sign free agents after 9th. August, others claimed this was a loophole PL clubs could take advantage of.

So, out of interest, has any PL team actually signed a free agent in the latter part of August or not? Surely, if it was permissible, someone would have done it, but I haven't heard of it happening anywhere. Anyone know of any PL signings in the lead up to August 31st?
