Around 30dB or so - in other words yes very quiet, certainly quieter than the current light:

NB: Noise is a log scale.

I posted elsewhere and I have news that Screwfix do a "fairly quiet" option so hopefully all good.

Might consider touch sensitive switches or the outside option too.

A torch could be an option - probably brighter than the one watt bulb in your sensor

If you really want quiet but powerful extraction a hydroponic shop can furnish you with a silenced squirrel fan. Fit in a void with some isolating brackets and some oversize lagged ducting and you can have a system that silently removes the worst Guinness and curry hangover turd smell before you've even thought about washing your hands.
