I think it's just his style, he has always been an excitable slightly over the top commentator, I don't mind him on the radio.
He does go on about Brighton too, the history, the fans, great stadium etc.

I don’t understand they told me they would be challenging for Europe maybe even the Champions League, I think I have made a mistake!
The experts say a definite pen and that it was awful non-defending by Sakho.
Becker, VVD and Gomez dealt with the aireal threat of a team of giants brilliantly.
