Hagler didn’t beat Hearns with a body shot.
I appriciate it was quite some time ago, so am happy to stand corrected by an aficionado, but I distinctly remember the fight.

During his training camp press day, Thomas way lying on a bench, his trainer was throwing a medicine ball into his 8-pack causing Tommy to repeatedly headbutt his knees.

For that fight Marvin most definitely concentrated on body shots.

Even as a young'un I remember shaking my head in disbelief, when the fight was shown on TV.

Appreciate Fury wants rounds under his belt but if he was truly class he would have bagged 5-6 rounds and then finished it. May be technically a great boxer but he's boring as **** and doesn't have the power to match his technique.

Fury’s victory against klitschko was far more convincing then Joshua.

Joshua was on the brink of being stopped. Fury barely lost a round in fact he barely took a shot.

Both completely different fights.. Kiltschko was a different animal against Joshua. He didn’t throw a punch against Fury. He was relying on the judges like he’d done for years. He had nothing to lose against Joshua so he went for it. Hard to compare the two tbh

A good performance by Fury against a man who was only interested in going the distance not actually trying to win.

Yes BG. Such a good performance that the boxing fans in Belfast gave him a 5 minute standing ovation and rapturous applause at the end of his fight :ffsparr: More like this :catfight: than a good fight.

I am not a fan of Fury but he needed rounds and could do no better than win every round on the refs scorecard. He is not a KO specialist and even so a short fight would have done him no good whatsoever.

Fan of Fury, dull as dishwater fight.
But, he played for the rounds, not an emphatic win, nor is he that kind of fighter.

Bored of the Fury/AJ vs Vlad argument. Two totally different fight styles. two fantastic performances.

Would like to see Fury take another step up before fighting Wilder.

Much more entertained by the 45 second clip of Saunders Vs Wilder & Co. at Nando's.
