Well we have been dealt a Hammer blow by the Afghans, can't see Beer stepping into Khan's shoes.

Maybe Middlesex will not be too interested in the Match as they are already among the stiffs?

May not bring Beer in, if Wright is fit he can come in (for Khan) at the top of the order and keep the remaining 5 bowlers that played last night

Sadly he wont, his contract was initially only for the first 7 group games and was subsequently extended to encompass the whole group stage.

Really gutted, like everyone else it seems, that Rashid Khan won't be playing. Was very surprised when I learnt he is only 19. Such an exciting talent, just felt like something would happen in any over he was bowling.

Presumably we'll bring someone else in if we qualify. In fact, you'd hope the club would have provisional plans for this eventuality anyway.

We could have done with Rashid to hold their run rate back to be sure, to be sure. If we carry on at this pedestrian rate Middlesex are only going to need a tad over 300 for an easy win.
