His new contract is an extra £1m over the course of the year. You all seem to think we'd finish bottom of the league with no points without him so sounds like good business all round right?

an extra £1m over a year ? you shitting me ??

So effectively an extra £20,000 a week on top of whatever ridiculous amount you were paying him.

Said it before , say it again

Probably is a decent punt to be fair. Last season you were bottom of the league with no points and no goals without him.........so it's not an unreasonable assumption

The lack of a release clause is basically irrelevant. Doesn't mean he won't leave, it only impacts the price anyone would have to pay.

Just had a look , £130,000k a week !!!!!

Jesus !

Yet one of their lot was questioning Everton's interest in Zaha and that if they signed him it would be all that is wrong with football as the thought of Everton paying anyone £130k a week plus is clearly so ludicrous. At least Everton have a genuine shot each season of threatening a top 6 finish.

So between Benteke, Zaha and the sulky German fella no major club would touch due to his wage demands they are paying the thicker edge of around £400,000 a week. It's another Leeds or Portsmouth waiting to happen. How many years were Portsmouth paying the likes of Tal Ben Haim after they left for?

CPFC2010 are now in a situation where they are almost entirely reliant on the TV money coming in to remain solvent. If they were ever relegated, they'd be on the brink of folding again. So their business model basically boils down to "betting the farm" on huge transfer fees, and pouring untold fortunes into the players and agents pockets. 80% of what comes in, goes straight out on wages. Thats not sustainable, and its why it was complete and utter PANIC STATIONS there after just 4 games last year. Pure, blind panic.

If BHA go down, we have the prudent financial parameters and infrastructure to survive, rebuild and have a good tilt at coming back again. With their catastrophic financial commitments, CPFC2010 know if they go down, they're in serious, serious trouble of going under.

What a way to run a business.

Wrong, wrong, wrong......Zaha is worth about a billion quid, especially now he’s on a twenty year contract. When they sell him *next season* they’ll be the biggest and richest club in the world. Plus Obe Wan Bissaka will probably be worth two billion by then anyway......etc......etc......etc.......

We've had 6 years of Prem money so we can afford to put players on high wages. Potential resale of Meyer (who is on 80k) and Zaha are massive. We also didn't put anyone on remotely big money until we bought Cabaye in our 3rd season - pretty good value considering we only paid £10m for him. You've spent significantly more than we did when we were in your position. I'd see if you get past this season before criticising our model.

The operative word being HAD 6 years of Prem money - and invested precisely £0.00 of it. Its all been thrown at players and their agents, hence the statements of poverty from Roy during the last transfer window. And after 6 years, you've now reached a point where you're spending an eyewatering 80%+ of your income (still rising) on players wages.

Its telling that your only solution to this would be an emergency firesale of Zaha and Meyer. But that may not generate as much as you think, because (a) you massively overstate their value - you wouldn't get anywhere NEAR £70m for Zaha if you went down, because clubs know he's not worth it, and they know you'd be desperate. Plus you'd owe a hefty slab of whatever you did get to Man Utd anyway. And (b) not many clubs would be willing to pick up these players on the GARGANTUAN salaries that CPFC2010 have put them on.

Relegation for us would be disappointing. Relegation for your mob would be nothing short of a catastrophe.

You are the equivalent of millwall or Charlton in our eyes.Your there like an irritant but we know you can’t touch us or hurt us. We find you mildly amusing is all. It’s just the way it is. Thing is, you feel it too, hence all the nonsensical non footballing drivel you all come out with. Evening

I'm sad to see the school system in Croydon has failed you.

Typical reaction of the goonsquad on here when it comes to the finances of CPFC2010.
