£89.00 a month - yes I have queried it!
Just me and the three wimmin in my life.
Their excuse - they all have long hair and I don't have any.
Also the washing machine is on twice a day - I know don't go there!
Dishwasher once a day although both on fast washes.
They say my house is using twice the amount of water than all the other properties in my road :moo:

Have you got a Hippo water saver device in your toilet cistern?
Dishwashers are more efficient than washing up, I was told.
I also have a tap water flow restrictor/aerator.

It does hit hard. We collect rainwater and use that for cooking. For washing, we wait till it rains then dash to the back patio with soap and shampoo. And we basically collect our own urine in buckets and use that to water the garden. The aubergines are magnificent this year. I think its a great improvement on the waste under labour, and it only costs us 40 quid a month (something about sewers). Happy happy.

Guess you've been frying your aubergines this summer?

Indeed, in the garden on a camp fire, using our own sun-dried excrement as fuel. We're very eco-conscious

Just got ours today £691.00 for six months for a household of five.

Shocked..... I’m drinking my whisky neat tonight.

More than anyone else I'm afraid because we have the most expensive water in the country, even the government chip in to help us with the bills.
South west water should be shot and we can't go to any other company.
Excuse after excuse for the high prices, it makes my piss boil, in fact we may have to boil our piss.
Having said all that our water is like mineral water out of the tap, I really cannot drink the water when I visit family in Sussex, Tunbridge Wells and London, family from Australia found it horrible as well.

Indeed, many things I miss from being in the Brighton area, the taste of the water is most definitely one of them.

Hove (actually!)
I checked my meter yesterday and despite nothing using water in the house - the meter is spinning. So I've been charged for water that I haven't used.

Water company is coming tomorrow to check for a leak.
