That's the key point I reckon, confidence, loads of people have confidence in his ability your just waiting for Solly to do the same.

With 25 men in the squad, it's 2 per position, and extra one for GK, and then 2 spare. So when talking about 4th choice, that's for one of two positions, so CB, CM, Wingers, like your examples. AM and GK however, if just one place, and we don't need 4 people competing for those (as I know you know, just highlighting the difference).

That's 4 players for 2 positions. That's what people are referring to when they say 4th choice in this context (the context of centre backs). We're not getting, or wanting, 4 players for every position.

and March is by far the worst of the 4 wide men we have. and I wouldnt expect to see him figure many times only perhaps as a late impact sub.

As things stand, I agree that March is behind our other wingers in the pecking order, but if he comes on as an impact sub then he's competing for a place. Up his game, and he could push his way into the starting 11. I'm not expecting him succeed in that, but it's his job to try.

My thoughts exactly... Bruno as CB in Prem? No... Bernardo? Who knows, but he is on record as saying his best position is LB... White? Far too inexperienced...

This is true, but you can become over reliant on things like that, one horror injury and we would be left with two full backs in reserve. I would hope we'd get in at least a loanee to cover this eventuality.
