Chelsea looked pretty ordinary this afternoon. What they need is "the best player outside the top 6 (c)" - that will sort them out.

And to make things even more miserable for you, we are strengthening our squad with genuine quality players. The form we were in at the end of last season was top 7 or 8. I can see no reason why this will not be achievable again. Maybe, just maybe even a smidgen better.

Your 2016/7 accounts showed that you had the highest % of wages to income of 78%. The highest of any premier league club.
You had to buy big last season to keep yourself in the division.
Now you've increased this substantially this window.
You should be in the top 6 with this wage bill.

Palace love their hyperbole. The last 6 games were good, you won 4 and drew 2 but that totally ignores the fact that the previous 6 games to that you won once and lost 5 (that win was part of a sequence of just 1 win in 10 games). So from relegation form to world beaters in 6 games. There really is no middle ground with our Croydon friends.
Paying champions league wages without a hope of actually playing in the competition, their fans see nothing wrong with it and when it becomes unsustainable they will take the Palace way out. That worked out well for Pompey, at least they had an FA Cup to show for all that money.

Overpaying has worked twice for them before. No incentive for them not to continue as they clearly didn't care about the charities and small businesses during previous iterations.

I do have one problem with the reality and the Wilf thing and he has no intention of leaving. Please explain to me why he turned down a better contract that would give him another 20K a week. Is he just thick like most Palace fans or what?

I think the suggestion from some Palace fans is that Zaha's love for the club is so great that he doesn't want to take any more money away from it.

Heard from a reliable source (my mate is mates with the Bromley physio who is mates with the franchise 2010 one) that Zaha is desperate to leave in this window and has had a spat with Parish. Apparently a lot of players have lost respect for Parish since he failed to ban the hooded knobs who injured the stewards and stole real palace fans tickets that night, after promising to. I heard Puncheons sister was one who was refused entry despite having a ticket and ruffed up by the ultras too. From what I’m told, Zaha and Benteke go into the physio room and demand to be treated straight away as they’re ‘top earners’. Heard of a palace player even throwing a youth teamed off the treatment table as they had a sore big toe - all is not well there at the franchise - worst it’s been in all 8 years of existence apparently 
Apparently a lot of lower league players at clubs like Bromley don’t consider the CP2010FC players as real footballers as they were just placed in the 2nd tier and this is why many want out of the franchise this year.
