I didn't see a lack of respect from pundits. They, like the bookies, and most neutrals, felt England would have enough to beat Croatia.. but I didn't see anyone thinking it was a foregone conclusion. Croatia are a very good team, and they proved that. "It's Coming Home" was encouragement to England, not arrogance or dismissive of our opponents.
I'm really excited about the Euros and hope this WC experience will help shape this young squad to go one step further in four years.. until then, what a great summer it's been. And well played France and Croatia, I'm looking forward to the final.
