Announced this week, and seemingly ignored on here :shrug:

20 year old from Arsenal. Finnish U21 international. Slightly odd perhaps to sign another 20 year old, but with Walton AND Sanchez now out on loan, I guess someone has to play in goal for the U23s.

It is an interesting one. Bearing in mind at U23 level we already have 20yo Collins's and 18yo McGill (who is a former England youth international). With Sanchez and Walton on loan, perhaps this signifies that the management team don't have full faith in these two to step up yet.

Keto comes from Arsenal, who won PL2 Division 1 last season, where he was mostly the reserve goalie. He's also been there for at least 4 years so should he ever reach the first team he would count as Home Grown.

Jetted into the Austria training camp earlier in the week.

I suspect the original plan had him going to the U23s in Portugal instead if we had got Button in.

We also have a Poland age group keeper, that we brought in a year or so back.

Wouldn't this be to replace Sanchez U23 keeper who has gone on loan for the season to FGR

Not sure we really are used to signing young GKs from Arsenal despite also having 3 or 4 international or prem league keepers on our books or have even more promising youth international Keepers out on loan to clubs in the Champ or L2.

Interesting, he wasn't in goal for us at Hereford? If it's THAT Hereford you are talking about?

Mark Ormerod was the keeper that day. Was Rust on the bench, honestly can't remember if he was even still with us then.

I put the signing on the Zero chance of signing anyone today thread, but nobody seemed to respond. Many only really want to know about the senior squad, with the notable exception of @AZGull.
