Hole if its on its own (with butter and jam)
In rectangles if cheese on toast or cheese and tomato on toast
In triangle halves if with a cooked English breakfast
For beans on toast, hole for the slice with the beans on, and triangle halves on the side

Don't the beans fall through the hole?

I know it’s really bad for you but I like to very slightly burn the toast- preferably wholemeal. Can’t stand ‘hot bread”. Waste of time.

I'm with you. Toast needs to be properly toasted and if that occasionally means the odd charred slice so be it.
Didn't know it was bad for you though.

Another of life's pleasures to be added to the ever increasing naughty list.

I will not consume any piece of toast, until I have first shaped it into the precise outline of Sagrada Familia.
