Sterling is a weird one, absolutely gash in front of goal but integral to this system - he's on the last man stretching them with his pace, if he's not there it means there's no space for the others.

Nervy start but we grew into it. Please, please, please remain focused and we have an incredible opportunity to make the semi's. Keep Sterling on, he's going to get more chances and surely, surely, he'll take one of them. his movement and Pace is causing them problems.

We've defended fantastically as a team this World Cup, always limiting the opposition to few opportunities.

The head of ManC Independent Supporters Clubs was interviewed by Jason Mohammad a few months ago about the national dislike for Sterling FROM FANS OF ALL CLUBS UP AND DOWN THE COUNTRY. He put it down to the bad press Sterling's had on family life, his kids etc and that he's simply one of these celebs who people deem as having a face you'd want to punch.
