If Uncle Tony said "you buy him and I'll pick up the wages", would you chip in the required £3.600?

Roughly 25,000 Albion supporters at home games...If we each chip in £3600 we could outbid Juventus at £90m.

No.
a) I spend enough on football
b) he already has too much money
c) he is past his prime :)

I would rather we had done this for Iniesta at a fraction of the cost.

Would a free "Ronaldo 7" printed on a shirt* for every donation" swing it for you?

* - you have to buy the shirt first, at full RRP.

Can't NSC buy him with the advertising revenue?

The guy is a big money draw. The club would recoup their money through shirt sales, sponsorship and other deals.
Can you imagine the match day sponsors for the season being asked to pay £1,000,000 per match and they would all say Ronaldo was MotM just to get to meet him after.

How does £90m stack up against our FFP requirements.

It's a no from me, as I think we would become less of a team than we are now, as basically we would have 10 other players on the pitch whose main task would be to pass to Ronaldo then stand back and let him try to win the game on his own.

oh come on Harry there is a poll :moo:

Sorry, I must have mised it. Polls, whether there or not, usually go under my radar. My radar is, mind you, a bit shit :lolol:

Sorry, we're £88m short.

Well, that's one more reason to introduce the long-promised NSC subscription charge.

(Don't do it. Please.)

They could announce MotM before the game.
