Not only the yoof my grown up sister spells it incorrectly. I think it's down to the fact that the word ect looks and sounds like a word rather than a shortening of two words et cetera.

Its one of 17 words in English that I cant remember the term for like lent for loaned.
He was Italian, and his Italian name was Colombo. Columbus is an Anglicisation.

My using of too only ever comes down to how much time I have
Just to confuse you further, in the midlands they use borrow for lend (as in 'can you borrow me a tenner?').
