Ref has lost it a bit. Giroud argues a decision, throws the ball away and tells the ref to **** off, no yellow card. Australian left back tussles for the ball, yellow card :nono:

So many cheating soft cocks play soccer. Embarrassing sport at times when grown men who were hardly touched roll around like they were shot. Well done us for having a crack.

Why on the penalty decision was the ref only shown two angles on the var screen both of which looked like it was a foul, it looked to me that he never saw the angle which showed the Aussie defender touching the ball first. What is the point of var if the ref is not shown all the angles?

What did it matter that the defender touches the ball first as the Frenchman's trailing leg was caught so a definite penalty as VAR proved.correctly. The question is whether or not it was an obvious miss and VAR used in the first place.

An element of controversy on all 3 goals and all 3 go France's way (including crap VAR, blatent cards and then if crossed line).

Oh well.

Just because it uses VAR doesn't make it controversial. Which of those decisions were wrong? Only mildly debatable one is the first and seems like a fairly clear pen to me.

Touching the ball first is not taken into consideration, only by tv pundits.

Eh? Of course it is. The whole point of a challenge is to win the ball, and you have to win the ball before you take the man. Former refs have said this many times on channels like BT Sport.

The ball didn't even change direction. Yes, he touched the ball, but he didn't win it.
