If he stood in the centre of the goal Ronaldo would put it in the opposite corner because he cant get to that side of the goal fast enough and there is no wall to prevent him doing it so no incredible bending of the shot needed. How hard is that to understand why keepers cover one side and the wall the other.

Oh and another thing where has the wall gone

Sometimes (and perhaps all too rarely as a partisan fan) you watch football as a spectacle, something to take your breath away as you admire the skill and technique of the contestants; on these occasions you forget the partisanship, the grinding need for your team to get a result however achieved, instead sit back and enjoy.

This was one of those games.

The wall and the keeper are now overlapping and covering the same side leaving a huge gaping ****ing hole on the other side of the goal that Ronaldo is going to piss easy score into much easier than the stupendous goal he scored today.

Well de gear certainly looked like a flat footed **** relying on the wall. Stood there rooted to the spot. My point is if he was in the centre of the goal he would have had a chance of having a go at saving the free kick. Ronaldo certainly made it look easy with 3/4 of the goal to aim at

no. Ronaldo and other similar free kick specialists are aiming for a 2 foot window in the corner that the keeper cant get to from the center. if they go center they are just offering the free kick taker option of two top corners. keeper covers half, wall covers the other and for 95% of free kicks thats enough. it was a sublime goal, enjoy it.

But the goal keeper is in the middle and covering his left and right side so where is the gaping ****ing hole. Plus the wall is obstructing some of the potential flight path of the ball. I’m bored now so let’s just say we have different views on this. Have a good evening

This.

World class footballer. But entirely lacks humility and class as a human being.

He's a narcissist. They aren't the most fun guys at a party, but the self absorption is what makes him what he is. Imagine how much care and attention he pays to his diet, shaving his arse crack, and polishing his helmet? And preparing for a game of football. Staggeringly good. I noticed how he stopped running when the chance was impossible, but knew when to go for it when the chance was realistic. I wouldn't invite him round to dinner, but as a footballer, he is a god. There again, I'd happily have Joey Barton round to dinner, so what the f'uck do I actually know (about my own safety, among other things)? :O

Its a gaping hole because there is no wall covering the other side I feel you are never going to get this so enjoy the rest of the WC and have a good weekend
