In keeping with the theme of the day.

I found a large stash of 1970's pornographic magazines when I took the side panel off the bath, in my old flat.

It wasn't mine, some of the magazines had been thoroughly enjoyed.

Any notes that are around 50% recognisable and have a serial number still visible can be salvaged by the Bank of Englands damage bank note dept in Leeds. You'll get face value for every note salvaged. The money now belongs to current store owners since police have been unable to identify any lawful owner/legal claimant.

So face value is £30K, where does the £million figure come from? What they are saying is that £30K then is the equivalent to putting one million under the floorboards today rather than that's how much you can get for this money. Although collectors may offer over the odds for the rarity of the notes.

They must still be worth a few bob - if you can get the pages back together again. Mine are impossible though as they're stuck like superglue.

Between the ages of 12 and 16 (so 86 -90) I amassed a HUGE collection of porn mags. Moving house meant that I had to reluctantly bin 99% of it and only keep a few favourites.
