A great night in prospect raising money for a very worthy local cause.

Smartly filling the gap between the end of the group stages and the start of the 2nd round. The one football-free night in a fortnight.

OUTSTANDING plannage :clap2:

FYI the names represent a squad. The first team formation has the so-called 'acclaimed journalist' in the Dimbleby role, attempting to keep order among the panellists. If Johnny Cantor is delayed at Eastbourne tennis, the aforesaid journo will become a panellist and a youth team prospect will be compering.

If the event is just half as good as that beautiful poster it will be a fantastic night.

NB: Andy Naylor's name shouldn't be in the list - that's an early version of the poster. But he might come along depending on the Eastbourne tennis.

And one of the raffle prizes, offered by the club, is scarily good - at a level of generosity way beyond anything we might have asked for.

What is said prize, please (and other raffle prizes)? I can't attend this, but would be happy to support the event, by buying a few raffle tickets via someone attending.

The top raffle prize is a full Albion media experience for two at a home match of your choice, apart from top six or Palace - pre-match press conference at Lancing, Amex media room entry, press box passes and post-match press conference.

PS: No leaving early to get trains ...

Thanks to everyone who came to the Albion Night, thanks to the panellists and thanks to Bozza for the sticky. Sorry to any Chelsea fans for the revelations about their club. Sadly no HB&B.

Really good night, Nick, cheers.
Very interesting (and, at times, poignant) stuff from the panel. And nice to see Harty: we may have crossed swords on occasion on NSC but he's an inextricable link to the war years when I were a lad.
I see that though John Lees may have retired: his enigmatic personality endures
