But you are ignoring the fact that there would't even have been a BHA for Bloom to plough his money into had action not been taken in 1997 to save the club and keep it limping along in the noddy leagues until we got permission for the stadium.

My money is on an FFP breach due to wages and that they have attempted some accountancy chicanery to avoid it. Only explanation for saying the accounts are being "signed off" by the PL (they don't sign off accounts, the auditors do). Perhaps the PL are disputing something which affects FFP so Palace don't want to submit until they get an agreement on it.

Unless of course that's just a lie (quite probable), in which case I still reckon it's the FFP / wages thing and they are desperately trying to get the auditors to sign off the accounts despite a Derby style flouting of Company law.

All good fun anyway. As is the typical Palace stance of "but, but.....Tony Bloom and money and....WAAAHHHHHH".

We had this scenario twice with the miss management of our club.
Whatever league you would have been in,Bloom would still have invested in you.

I'll be honest - call me old fashioned - I'm sure them filing their accounts two months late or reforming a company for an unknown reason is absolute LULZ, but personally I do prefer taking the piss out of their crap "stadium", their total reliance on one player, the fact that despite 5 years more PL money they finished 4 points above us, and the fact that we dumped them out the FAC.

Err, no....lets not rewrite history. You didn't have this scenario at all. You weren't 91st in the league and HOMELESS.

So there's no way you can say "of course there would have been an Albion" - if we'd gone non-league, and homeless, there'd have been no way back into the League for us. Which I'm sure you'd have found hilarious, but don't try to compare it to your own clubs grubby dealings and where it got you (and where it kept you).

I'm surprised there isn't a similar thread on a palace board, one with a more parochial, positive spin.
That information could easily make it's way over here to back up the "it's nothing" claims.
