Isnt striking off just closing down a non trading limited company?

Not like a winding up order for an insolvent company

Did Newcastle actually file some results in the end then?

Was looking forward to seeing Ashley and Parish squirming Under some corporate governance not fit to be director type shizzle.

Accounts y/e 30 Jun 17 due 31 Mar 18 so almost 2 months late.

Are they expecting Zaha to file them? He seems to do everything else for that club.

F*cking Tin Pot shambles.

No, it's striking off a company that hasn't provided companies house with information requested such as annual accounts or a confirmation statement. It shows very poor running really.

Looks like no accounts have been filed for this year. That can result in a compulsory striking off.

A company being struck off can be quite tax efficient since HMRC are unable to get taxes due from a company that no longer exists.

Does anyone know if Crystal Palace have a history of not paying tax?

A couple of interesting comments from our friends at BBS:

It's about time we had a good old fashioned administration again isn't it?

Apart from administrative incompetence, I'm struggling to come up with an explanation for this.

Not 1 hour ago I suggested we should never underestimate the power of stupidity when running a Premier League club, even citing Parish and Not So ...

What the hell have they got to hide?

They did pay some in 2016 but this was less than the tax rebate they had the previous year.

I guess having an owner who also has a company called Smoke & Mirrors Ltd isn’t going to be very transparent.

By my calculations if nothing else happens the company will be struck off on 21st August 2018. What a lovely 50th birthday present that would be for me that week.

Re the post above - I thought he was joking by Parish really IS a director of Smoke and Mirrors Group Ltd.

I also see Zaha's personal company is Long Live Zaha Ltd.

Even Benteke has a company - Cows Arse and Banjo Ltd.
