Yet another poor performance by England, When will this change and we become a team capable of competing with the best in Test cricket again.

When the ECB start to concentrate on four day County Cricket and not poxy Beer Matches for the benefit of Sky TV.

When the selectors pick batters who can get more than on session and stop selecting sloggers. How the hell can you select a specialist No.7 in five day cricket on the basis that T20 form merits a place in Test cricket, pathetic!

Boycott made a good point today about county cricket. The gist of it being that the gap between test and county cricket has never been wider due to the England players rarely playing for their counties and top international players playing beer matches rather than coming to England. County cricket is not in a good place and it’s causing a decline in the test team.

Low overs cricket matches have killed the art of test match. It's over folks.

Pakistan play way less long form cricket than us. These batsmen are all just a bit thick, in my opinion. They are so poor at recognising the match situation,

Root gone now.

Another Root 50 that he couldn't go on to convert to a century.

Probably a little harsh criticising the guy who has 61% of our runs this innings. Though the point does stand, his conversion rate is disgraceful.

Do you get a refund?

Yes, but phased. If no play then 100%. If it rolls in to day 4 and they play more 15 overs but less than 25 you get 50% back. 25 overs and nothing. I'd love us to fight back and I love a day at Lord's but would be useful if they screwed it up today or £100+ day tomorrow that could all be over before lunch

Fair point but why are so many countries much better at test cricket than England?
Pakistan haven't played that much test cricket and most of it away or in Dubai yet they have totally outclassed England in every department in this match.

Cynical collusion between the Pakistani's and Lord's hierarchy to reduce refunds...

What a shambles putting a limited overs batter back in the team and a 20 year old as the off spinner.
