Interested to read about the Huddersfield players bonuses today, which will kick in now that they've avoided relegation.

£8,000 per game to every player for every game he played (so thats a max of £304,000 to anyone who played all 38 games)
£1,000 per point to every player who played this season - so with them on 37 points with 1 to play, thats potentially another £40k each player will trouser, if they turn over Arsenal tomorrow.

Their top earner is Mooey on £32k a week. These bonuses will cost the club around £4m-£5m, which given the £100-odd million windfall the club will get for staying in the PL, is very do-able.

Wonder what bungs we've given our players for doing the biz this season.

A mixture of dogs abuse and skepticism?

Not sure about this year but read in one of El Presidente’s excellent twitter updates or posts here I can’t remember where it disclosed we paid £9m last year for promotion bonuses and therefore should be similar for staying up. Either way it’s a nice chunk of change for both squads and deservedly so.

To the Albion players that would equate to owning a 3 bed terraced house, each.
To the Huddersfield players that equates to owning...

...Huddersfield.

That can't be right about Mooy's wage. A Palace fan rang a football phone in today, putting the case for Wagner as PL manager of the season, stating that he heard the highest paid Hudd players are on £10,000 a week. Bowing to his supreme football knowledge.

Well, I was just going by what was reported in The Times today.

Zaha is apparently on £120k a week btw.
