I would rather he said I know rather than I think.
Only one way to find out, play him, in his best position.
Maybe Chris is bigging him up before a start tomorrow night.
Hope so.

I think he's more likely to start him at City to rest Murray between the United and Liverpool games.

Perhaps he could start by impressing everyone slightly, which he has so far failed to do. I'm far from convinced that he's good enough for us, let alone a top six team. So far his main contribution has been to make Murray start scoring.

Unfair. When he started in the Cup Match at Old Trafford he did pretty well.

Bit OT but I really want someone in the summer who in no particular order on his cv, is a decent crosser of the ball, dead ball specialist, can take a fricking corner. I am so underwhelmed when we get a corner or set piece, it's an area we are just crying out for improvement in

Have you ever seen Pascal Gross play? Does exactly what we are (apparently) crying out for.
That’s why he has the most assists by some distance.
Unfortunately, his instructions are to aim at Dunk and Duffy: something which routinely results in an excellent chance and the ball in the crowd.

He's a big, fast, powerful striker / left inside forward hybrid we want to turn into a targetman who can do more. The perfect mentor for that would appear to be Glenn Murray who has never even when younger had the gifts Locadia does, but can teach him the other side until we unleash him on the league next season!

Murray will be the ideal rotation player with him but I can't see us using 2 'proper' strikers. We might finally see a faster Baldock type though to round out the 3 man Striker unit. We seem to be targeting big strong African speedsters over and over rather than a Sanabia type of player though.

Everton, Leicester and Burnley are all interested in 23-year-old Egypt forward Mahmoud Hassan, who is on loan at Turkish side Kasimpasa from Anderlecht

AKA Trezeguet, so I think this is the fella, but it is early!!!

And I can tell you his expression whilst saying this further backed up his belief in the player

And we got him because of his record of assists in Germany, which he has continued to do for Brighton in an arguably tougher league.
Gross does exactly what it says on the tin.
Not knocking anyone but if we had someone who could get on the end of more of those assists and bang them in (taking the chances) we would have been safe ages ago.
10/10 this season for me.

6 out of 42 goals with his head https://www.whoscored.com/Players/107622/History/Jürgen-Locadia

At best 60% chance of a goal in 90 mins, 50% with his right foot. 3.3 shots per 90 mins, 1.2 on target

About the same as Glenn Murray, except Murray scored more % headers.

Rashford has 2 out of 22 with his head. No wonder they play him wide. About a 40% chance of scoring in the EPL. 2.7 shots, 1 on target.]

Rashford is reputed to have 10% greater pace.

Clearly I’m in the minority here, but haven’t seen much yet that suggests he’ll rip up the Premier League next season as some are saying. Doesn’t look like a lone centre-forward so far to me.... not least because by, his own admission, he can’t head the ball. Nor has he worked particularly hard when he’s played out wide, compared to our other wingers.

On the plus side, he’s poached a couple of goals and seems to have a powerful shot. Hopefully it’ll come good - but I reckon we’ll be in the market for another centre-forward during the summer that knows the position and can hold the ball up as well as chase it.

Some of us were saying this and the simple observation he hasn’t had much time because of Murray’s form just yesterday... Others were saying we need to sell him

If he's not good enough to beat out a bald wheezy pensioner and a loanee, he best be off-loaded asap, while there's still some value to be had. :dunce:

Do we want him to start or be on the bench vs United?

At OT he had four shots, including a missed header

Bought on spec but in reality for next season when he’ll be the main striker through the middle with a revamped improved supporting cast.

Can’t wait to see us rampaging with pace and guile.

Spot as would expect kayal,Stephens etc to be on the bench at best next season if we stay up as the central midfield is our weak spot,...We need pace and power and scoring midfielders if possible.

Or a manager who doesn't play 2 (two) holding midfielders.
