So what would be the benefit in doing this? Would it be a Business choice or is it a way of helping to develop our U23 players with learning to cope with a different type of league?

I'm surprised it's taken me all day to notice the thread title was written by someone wearing boxing gloves.

Surprised someone hasn't suggested this as the reason we didn't get a striker.

In fairness, it is a good indicator of TB's wealth and further confirmation that he will not be calling in his loans anytime soon. A good news story and a reason to visit Brussels or if we are being poncy Bruxelles...

Tony Bloom knows what he’s doing.

We find an absolute gem of a player in the Nigerian league. He’s only 17 and doesn’t qualify for a work permit. Currently we’d have to let him slip through our fingers and he’d probably sign for someone else further down the line. However due to much more lax rules in Belgium we’d be able to sign him, send him there to play and in just 3 years he’ll be able to become a duel-National and as he’s then technically Belgian he could play for us.

Thank you Football Manager for this knowledge

As he becomes Belgian, then whilst we're still in the EU, with freedom of movement, he could play for us. The government is hell bent on changing this.

*ducks out of the way, as Brexit is mentioned.

It's not a secret. For several weeks now, the Union Saint-Gilloise seems open to a redemption. Times are tough in D1B and fans aspire to climb a notch higher.

In recent days, there have been talks with English investors. And today the name of Brigthon appeared.

According to Het Laatste Nieuws, the wealthy owner of the English Premier League club, Tony Bloom, has made an offer to buy. This would be a global offer of 100 percent of the shares. With the goal of quickly joining the D1A, as did the club cousin of the Cercle de Bruges this season.

Prospects that have something to celebrate the Yellow and Blue , since, by comparison, Tony Bloom has a fortune three times higher than that of Marc Coucke, the new president of Anderlecht. Talks are still in progress. But the operation could succeed quickly. A sign ? An extraordinary general assembly is scheduled this Monday, April 23 at 18h, at the Chaussée de Bruxelles. It remains to be seen what we intend to announce.

Quite interesting

EDIT: Apologies, I see the meeting today was also quoted in the Argus article.......

So, we just need to find out what Marc Couke (great name, btw) is worth and then we can roughly value Uncle Tony.
