I don't understand why anyone would be worried.

Neither Stoke nor Saints have won a game for months and we secured safety against Huddersfield nine days ago.

Start focusing on next season in the top league.

I don't understand how anyone could NOT still worry, just a little bit. If we lose at Burnley, and Southampton beat Bournemouth - both far from unlikely, that would leave them just four points behind us, with 3 games to play. In that situation, I'd expect the confidence of most Albion fans to have a bit of a wobble.

The good news, is the number of other sides between Saints and us. Just supposing they do pull it out of the bag, and win 3 of their last 4, then any one of those others just might take the bullet instead. Of course they're not very likely to suddenly recover to that extent, but there's no rule that you can only worry about things that are likely.

Just went though the remaining fixtures putting the lowest placed team to win over the higher placed team (except for us), and for a worst case scenario needs us needing 2 points barring a massive swing in GD:

16 Swansea City 38 10 9 19 29:53 -24 39
17 Crystal Palace 38 9 11 18 37:56 -19 38
18 Stoke City 38 9 11 18 35:65 -30 38
19 Brighton & Hove Albion 38 8 12 18 32:51 -19 36
20 West Bromwich Albion 38 7 13 18 32:54 -22 34

I have absolutely no idea why you've done this or what it shows other than there is a possibility, in the multiverse theory of quantum mechanics that Stoke will win at Anfield and Southampton will go from 1 win in 20 to 4 wins out of 4. Nobel Prize on the way.

Remember how jittery we were against Huddersfield because it was a game we were expected to win? They will be the same against Everton. And although Everton are often useless away from home, they did win at Stoke the other week. The only reason I can’t bring myself to hope that they don’t go down is that it will mean that Southampton get uncomfortably close to our present points total.

Have you seen their fixtures for those 3 remaining games?

They won't win another game this season. And Stoke have gone.
We're 25/1 for a reason.

Whom are you proposing we play (and lose to?) as well as Burnley in that time?

I saw some of Paul Lambert's press conference. Predictably, he admitted they're going to go all out aggressive against (B team) Liverpool from the get-go. For a vital win. Playing on the opposition being tentative in the challenge with the Roma game coming up.

I said before on another thread, I can see Stoke getting a result. It's their own cup final.

Just realised that although the next match up is Liverpool v Stoke, the result of that game could become totally irrelevant just 3 hours later if we win at Burnley.
