Warwickshire have clearly given up and are keeping everything in reserve until they face some decent teams later in the summer.

Excellent effort from our Sussex boys in this match.

Tough game on paper and very much honours even with illustrious hosts.

Looks like we could be the only 2 teams who have practiced batting. Notts needed 10 to win against Lancashire and still managed to lose 4 wickets!

First hundred anywhere in the CC this season and it's scored by a Sussex player.

Massive embarrassment for Warwickshire that.

You'd have got long odds on that before the start of the season. Mind you, Wiese is probably the best no 9 on the circuit. He's got a FC average of 34, better than many of our batters

Wow bonus points I did not expect. Keep it going Sussex.

347 for 7

Lunch - Sussex lead by 48 runs with 3 wickets remaining in the 1st innings

Brown 90 no
Wiese 103 no

Fingers crossed for max 5 batting points, just 53 to go. Just hope they don't get too relaxed over lunch.

Also the first team to score 300+ in this season's CC. With our batting lineup, who'd have thunk it?

Are we confident the Warks weren't bowling for a declaration in order to get a 2nd innings in? A 2 innings match reduces the bonus points available.

Either way - the runs are in the book.

They've been bowling their main front line bowlers.

What do you mean by 2 innings reduces bonus points? Bonus points only apply to each of the 1st innings. You then get any result points on top of that.

I reckon score another quick 50-100 then stick them in and get Ishant rolling through them.

WTF? The Warwicks players are all Man City fans and were out celebrating last night. That's the only explanation.
