But we can only dream of this rain continuing to take this game past Saturday.
I think we only have him for a part of the t20 as he has other commitments

Hopefully Warwickshire will decide to have a bat, that should take quite a lot of time out of the game.
He is from Uckfield and has grown up playing his cricket for Buxted Park CC.
Regrettably for BPCC for this season he has moved to Mayfield CC to play at a higher level. he can play higher than that.
BACA is a cricket-specialist school, Will is there for sixth form only. previously at UCTC (now uckfield college)

If it wasn't for the fact that it would make for a miserable summer, l would almost advocate rain stopping play for every SCCC fixture this season.

No idea how well they will do but "Dizzy" will have done what is possible in terms of encouraging a positive approach from the chosen XI.

I drive right past the ground to and from work.
Was damp and rain/drizzle yesterday.

I'm not sure what I've misunderstood: you said there were three transfers from counties (Wright, Burgess and Robinson) of 'unproven potential'. I was just raising my eyebrows at the description of 33-year-old former captain as having potential.
But yes, I think he'll be better this year, don't think the responsibility of captaincy hung well on him.
