This weekend could be a really interesting one:

Southampton v Chelsea --- Chelsea still looking shaky with no confidence in manager. Not a great team away from home. Quite fancy saints here.

Huddersfield v Watford. --- Watford another pretty average team with nothing to play for.

Swansea v Everton ---- Everton very very poor away from home

Palace v Brighton ---- the less said the better

West ham v stoke ---- 6 pointer. Will probably be rooting for a draw or ham win.

Could be a different picture in the relegation race come Monday night....

The bed-wetting in the event of a Palace / Saints double will lead to flood warnings across Sussex

The only team in the bottom three that I can think that may save themselves is Stoke and that is marginal. Even if Southampton pulled off a shock win I still can't see them getting enough points. I just can't. If Albion go down we will have no excuses because we've had enough chances to be well clear now (Hudds, Stoke, Saints at home - wasn't here for Everton; West Brom and Watford away)

*Just* need FIVE matches to now go our way...

Palace 0 Albion 1

Southampton 0 Chelsea 1

West Ham 1 Stoke 0

Albion 1 Spurs 0

Leicester 1 Southampton 0 OR Watford 1 Palace 0

Chelsea have been absolutely shit of late. Fully expecting Saints and Hughes to get their escape revved up.

Southampton haven’t won at home since November and they’ll have an eye on next weekends trip to Wembley, given Chelsea’s relatively poor away form I’m going for a draw.

Realistically, a win v Palace sees us pretty much home - confirmed mathematically within a week or two of that.

I'm reasonably confident we have enough points now, would be happier, of course, with three more.

An albion victory over Palace could help set up the relegation humdinger of Stoke v Palace later in the season.

It's going to be a big big weekend each weekend until the end of the season.

Pointless looking at other fixtures, win our games and other results don't matter
