So the Galaxy are playing LAFC in the inaugural (well, rebooted) LA Derby and are 3-0 down at home.

Zlatan gets introduced in the 70th minute as a sub at 3-1. Two minutes later they pull another back, then two minutes more and he does this:

Gotta love Zlatan. What. A. Player.

Those goal nets have got no ripple or anything - kind of ruins it for me.

Amateur US leagues......tin pot.

I didn't see this thread, but I'll post here as I did in the VAR thread:

Just watching Ibrahimovic score a brace on his debut for LA Galaxy, as they come back from 3-0 down to win 4-3. The first goal - from 40 yards - was amazing. However, his second was clearly offside. Nothing subjective about it. But VAR didn't get involved at all.

Forget he did this in the States.Fact is he would have taken the goalie in any league because that shot was amazing.

Watch it again. It’s not offside (or if it is, it’s by inches). When the first ball goes forward he would be miles off, but he’s judged to have not gone for it. Then the next phase (the cross coming over), he’s is ahead of the defenders, but he’s level with the ball, so not off

Pretty amusing to see Galaxy boasting about being established way back in... 1996.

Watch the video closely, frame by frame. It looks like he is in an offside position just as it is played in. He never comes back onside. The ball is played forward when it is just behind him. Need some VAR lines to be 100%, but it looks off to me. It doesn't matter if it's inches - you're either on, or you're off (see Mata vs Huddersfield). It's objective.

VAR didn't check it. It should have. This is why we have it. But that would have ruined the moment.
