Wonderful stuff going on at Derby again.

On February 3rd they beat Brentford 3-0 and were sitting pretty second in the Championship. Maybe it was going to their year finally.

Since then, this has happened:

Derby 1 - 1 Norwich
Sheff Wed 2 - 0 Derby
Derby 2 - 2 Leeds
Reading 3 - 3 Derby
Derby 1 - 2 Fulham
QPR 1 - 1 Derby
Forest 0 - 0 Derby

But today they faced shithouse Sunderland at home. Surely they'd return to winning ways again. No, no they didn't:

Derby 1 - 4 Sunderland

Any chance of automatic promotion has now long gone and they'll be looking over their shoulders very nervously, with 5 clubs able to leapfrog them.

Wonderful stuff.

Always liked Derby and would like to see them back in the top flight

Was lucky enough to go to the Baseball Ground

It’s like a tradition we all look forward to watching. The money they’ve spent on wages & fees is ridiculous every year. Way more than we did.

They also spoilt the final home game of the season 2 years ago so Brighton needed a win rather than a draw at Boro to get auto promoted. The playoff thrashing a few year earlier as well. Quite happy that the usual 'just missing out yet again season' seems to be happening again.

I'd be happy for the play offs to be between Fulham, Villa, Brizzle, and PNE, thus a lot of clubs i have some antipathy for would be ultimately disappointed.

Really ? Don’t they make more money than we did in the Championship ?

Derby being knocked out of the playoffs by Millwall, who have basically spent nothing at all, would be hilarious.

They signed about 10 Strikers on stupid wages & fees a few years back every season. Definately had a bigger playing budget every / Majority of seasons in our league. Weren’t we 9th highest budget or something?

Chasing the dream is clearly expensive, let's hope we never go back there

Indeed it would - more likely to get Villa or Fulham tho..

But with a 13 game unbeaten run, and 1 point away from playoffs, they're on an absolute charge, with Boro and City still to play.

And yep, they'll falter at the last hurdle (play off final) of course..

Good club, rather them than a whole host of other clubs in the Championship, particularly ****ing Cardiff.

They're a lot more likable now Chris Martin is gone, Keogh still lingering like a bad stench though.
