On 82 mins and trailing 2-1 Woking gain a corner it,s taken and Macclesfield clear however the linesman is Flagging for England and speaks to the referee as it seems the ball was not in the quadrant so the corner is retaken and it,s 2-2 now if a side gives a foul throw-in they don't get to take it again,so why is a corner retaken if the corner kicker is at fault ?

Because it is in the laws of the game.

If a player, while correctly taking a corner kick, intentionally kicks the ball
at an opponent in order to play the ball again but not in a careless or reckless
manner or using excessive force, the referee allows play to continue.
For any other offence the kick is retaken.

Offences and sanctions
If, after the ball is in play, the thrower touches the ball again before it has
touched another player an indirect free kick is awarded; if the thrower
deliberately handles the ball:
• a direct free kick is awarded
• a penalty kick is awarded if the offence occurred inside the thrower’s penalty
area unless the ball was handled by the defending team’s goalkeeper in
which case an indirect free kick is awarded
An opponent who unfairly distracts or impedes the thrower (including moving
closer than 2 m (2 yds) to the place where the throw-in is to be taken) is
cautioned for unsporting behaviour and if the throw-in has been taken an
indirect free kick is awarded.
For any other offence the throw-in is taken by a player of the opposing team

My point is that seems the first kick was taken with the ball outside the quadrant,so why should it be retaken ? The defending team has done nothing wrong.

The same is given if a goal kick doesnt go out of the area when a defender kicks it. I believe the rules should be changed to punish the offending team. In that case shouldnt the lino have flagged to get the refs attention before the kick was taken.

I bet it actually WAS in he quadrant - and no I haven’t seen it. Just a hunch as people forget aerial view and any sort of overlap of the line...

Anyone remember the retaken corner that denied Blyth Spartans an FA Cup quarter-final against Arsenal? They were playing at Wrexham and were 1-0 up. Late corner for the home side which was easily saved by the keeper but it had to be retaken because the corner flag fell down just as the ball was being kicked. Wrexham scored from the retake and then best Blyth in the reply. Harsh on the mighty Spartans!
