Unfortunately that group of posters to whom you refer isn't as tiny as it should be. Dale is the man who makes us tick, and when he doesn't play we miss him. That said, with or without him, l think we will have enough to get ourselves safe.

In fact perhaps we already have.

It’s always been that way with the contrary lynch mob. Murray by scoring recent PL goals, has temporarily taken himself off their agenda. But they await a couple of missed half chances, to get stuck into him again.

With Dale, I simply take comfort that CH, 95% of fans and outsiders such as Dyche rate him very highly.

Averages over 50 passes per game, with an 84.7% pass success rate (better than Henderson and Hazard). Not too shabby really.

Henderson only does 6 yard crab passes. Dale at least attempts a forward pass every so often.

Why are people getting so upset about what the club are doing about reporting injuries ?

If CH and his coaching staff wish to be ‘shady’ about who is fit and who isn’t I don’t see the problem, we have no devine right to know who is fit and who isn’t until an hour before kick off and we see the team sheet. If it mis directs or causes confusion with the opposition in any way shape or form isn’t that an advantage.

The only problem is that it gives the impression that the club is thinking it doesnt matter its only supporters and they dont really matter, tell them anything and they will accept it..

Those sideways and backward passes create a tremendous amount of space and openings for other players as Dale has found out and excelled at.

Sure, but % of passing accuracy stats aren't always what they're cracked up to be. Someone with an 88% completion rate may not actually be as effective as someone with a 75% completion rate - the player with the lower stats may just be attempting the more difficult passes, some of which may end up as assists.

Yep, it can be, what they do with the ball. Players such as Hazard, Willian, Oxlade take risks in trying to create chances, necessarily giving the ball away more than DMer’s.

Hazard, Willian and Coutinho are the three best players I have ever seen live. Don't even need to look at stats to see they're all genius !

Coutinho took about 10 minutes to get into the Amex game, then it was ridiculous how good he was with the ball, without ever getting into top gear. Good enough to play with Suarez and Messi at Barca.

It's also about where they give the ball away and when.

Do you have a specific example where Chris Hughton has done that.. ?

Steady on. Dale's been very good, but I think Ryan, Dunk, Glenn and Gross might be in with a shout as well.

Agree - 'by a country mile' is stretching things quite a bit. Gross has been magnificent (as Glenn keeps saying), as have Ryan (barely made a mistake) and Dunk. Murray has surpassed all expectations too. Could be any of them (and I'd happily accept any of them as POTS at this point without any arguments). Izquierdo and Schelotto would potentially have been in with a shout too if they'd had a full season. All bodes well for next season anyway.

Having Dale available would increase our chances of getting the three points required to nail down a spot in the PL next year.
But we'll still get them if he's not.

It really doesn’t !!!

It shows we are keeping our cards close to our chest, I doubt it even comes into their mind about some supporters being precious about it
