I’m under no illusions about Corbyn. But let’s wait and see where the Labour Party, not Corbyn, position themselves; you’ll find out on Monday. Maybe the desire to rip apart the Tory party in a very public way and isolate the far-right of their party will prove too tempting. As I said, that will be brilliant to watch and much fun

So here today is the Labour Party embarking on its own very public split.

You need to work out which side you are on, the Tories in the Labour Party that want the UK continuously confounded by veracious capitalism courtesy of the EU, or socialism delivered by Corbyn.

This “labour alliance” is not about socialism.

Any idea how much the city of London financial district contributes to the UK economy as opposed to manufacturing?

So pleased I am not living in the UK where the choices are May or Corbyn.
Here, I have no vote but the choices are just as bad as both sides are totally corrupt.

In my opinion the best example of democracy is Switzerland.

I don’t doubt there is a significant contribution, but that should be put into context with the cost.

We (in the U.K.) as you will be aware are still dealing with the consequences of the financial crisis in 2008 that was caused by irresponsible practices by the financial services sector, particularly some banks. The U.K. taxpayer still owns part of RBS which was at the time the biggest bank in the world. Bailing out the banks cost the U.K. taxpayer billions, and has also driven the “austerity” economic policy we are coping with today. In short this is the poor paying the tab for the rich.

No one has been put inside for their conduct, Fred Goodwin has been stripped of his knighthood but the fact that he got one, and all of the other establishment baubles tell you all you need to know about how things work at the top of the capitalist tree.

Those at the top, politically, in finance blah blah blah all want us to stay in the EU. This will merely perpetuate the cycle of the poor paying the tab for the rich. I fully accept that is what many people on here who support the EU want, but then they are unvarnished Tories and they should be thrown in the oven.
